Winter Meeting

The Northwest Forest Soils Council winter meeting was held in Ellensburg, WA this year!

The meeting topic was: “State of Soil Science in the Pacific Northwest.”  This theme coincides with the current USFS GTR being published at the national level.  We invited local and regional forest soil scientists to present the state of knowledge across a breadth of soil topics (see agenda below).

During the business meeting we held officer elections to backfill the vice president position as Cara Farr transitions to NWFSC president. Jason James, PhD student at University of Washington, was voted in as Vice President.  Yay!  Nicole Jacobsen and Hilary Browning remain as website manager and social media contacts.

The meeting registration fee is $0 for students, $30 for all others.
